The initial appearance of Mathieu Ngudjolo Chui is scheduled to start at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, on Monday 11 February 2008, at 14.00.

Practical information

Members of the diplomatic corps who wish to attend the hearing are kindly requested to confirm their attendance via email to [email protected].

All journalists wishing to cover this hearing should confirm their attendance via email to [email protected], and must present a passport or valid ID with a photo.

Photos

A limited number of photographers will be allowed to take pictures for a period of one minute only before the public hearing starts.

All photographers wishing to cover the hearing are kindly requested to confirm their attendance via email to [email protected], no later than Friday 8 February 2008, at 4:00 p.m.

Media Centre

On Monday, 11 February 2008, the Court’s media centre will be open for journalists from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The area can sit up to 64 people and includes plasma TV screens; a Wi-Fi internet service; cards (plug + play) for those without Wi-Fi capability in their PC or laptop; 6 computers with internet access; 7 telephones that may be used free of charge for internal calls. For external calls, journalists are advised to purchase 0800 pre-paid phone cards beforehand. Such cards are available at newsagents and train stations. Please note that phone cards cannot be obtained in the vicinity of, or at, the ICC.

Audiovisual materials

Live audio and video feeds from the courtroom, including the various language channels, will be available from each table in the hot-desk area.

NOS Eurovision will provide a video link of excerpts of the hearing via satellite to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Europe, North and Latin America. Information on the video link will be conveyed as it is received from NOS Eurovision.

Parking facilities

Parking facilities are available for media representatives at the Wegastraat car-park.

Journalists attending the hearing are kindly invited to use the public entrance located on Regulusweg.
