Journalists join in in the quest to share information about the Court’s cases and developments with the affected communities in Mali
Local media outlets in Timbuktu joined the information session with ICC representatives, hearing about the Court’s mandate and work, including the latest developments in the Al Mahdi case and the presentation of evidence by the Defence in the Al Hassan case.
Journalists said affected communities want to know and often ask about the Court. "We will try to reach the target populations to make them understand that the ICC is here for everyone (...) and to defend the causes of the communities", one of the journalists said after the session.
