Billboards announcing the trial opening in the Said case now visible in Bossangoa, Berbérati, Mbaïki and Bria
Thirty billboards placed in Bangui, in the Central African Republic, announce the trial opening in the case of Mr Mahamat Said Abdel Kani, on 26 September 2022.
The alleged former Séléka commander is charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes allegedly committed in Bangui in 2013.
The ICC team put up billboards in other locations including Bossangoa, Berbérati, Mbaïki and Bria, Mr Said’s birthplace.
This way, information about the trial opening is clearly visible for affected communities throughout the Central African Republic.
