Mr. Stephane Mondon: "The political evolution in Libya since the Revolution"

Mr. Mondon is a specialist in political analysis of elections and a consultant for the European Union, the United Nations and the Carter Center. He has participated in electoral observation missions in Iraq, Benin, Ethiopia, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Libya. As Former Director of Operations for Lawyers without Borders Belgium, he is specialized in democratization and rule of law, and has conducted substantive field work and NGO programming across Africa and the Middle East. His main field of work is the political analysis of elections in post conflict environments and emerging democracies. Recently returned from Libya, he was part of the European Union mission which monitored the elections and assessed Libya's respect for international standards of democracy. Prior to specialization in elections, Mr. Mondon practiced as a lawyer in Japan and France.

Mr. Mondon has a master's degree in law from the University of Aix-Marseille in France and a degree in economy from the Otaru University of Commerce in Japan.
