Press conference by ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo related to the situation in Kenya

Please be advised the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Luis Moreno-Ocampo will hold a press conference at 10:00 (The Hague local time) on Thursday, 01 April, 2010 in the Press Briefing Room at the seat of the Court.

The Prosecutor will lay out the precise next steps the Office will take in investigating crimes committed during the post election violence in Kenya in 2008.

The press conference will be broadcast live at 10am on the Court’s website (www.icc-cpi.int) Please note a satellite feed will not be available.

Technical Requirements:

Media who wish to have audio from the break-out box are required to bring with them a XLR cable of at least 15 metres long. Those who wish to video record from the break-out box should also bring a BNC cable.

Access to the ICC building

Media wishing to attend are kindly advised to use the public entrance located on Regulusweg and to arrive no later than 09:30.
Please note that press identification will be requested at the entrance. Journalists will have access to the Media Centre.

Media Centre

The Court’s Media Centre will open from Monday to Friday, from 08:30 until one hour after the end of all Court proceedings.
The area can sit up to 64 people and includes plasma TV screens; a Wi-Fi internet service; cards (plug + play) for those without Wi-Fi capability in their PC or laptop; 6 computers with internet access; 7 telephones that may be used free of charge for internal calls. For external calls, journalists are advised to use their mobiles or purchase 0800 pre paid phone cards beforehand. Such cards are available at newsagents and train stations. Please note that phone cards cannot be obtained in the vicinity of, or at, the ICC. Mobile phones cannot be used in the public gallery.

Parking facilities

Parking facilities are available for media representatives at the Regulusweg and Wegastraat car parks.
