Passing of Mr Assingambi Zarambaud, Legal Representative of Victims

It is with great sadness that the International Criminal Court learnt of the passing of Mr Assingambi Zarambaud, Legal Representative of Victims in the case The Prosecutor vs. Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo. Mr Assingambi Zarambaud’s death is a tremendous loss to the Court.

Mr Assingambi Zarambaud was appointed in November 2010 to represent the victims in this case. He was completely dedicated to fulfilling this mission. His commitment to the victims, and for justice to be done, has been and will long remain an example for all. At this difficult time, his team can count on the support of the ICC Registry, so that the voices of victims continue to be heard in the Courtroom and that their views and concerns are addressed in this case.

The Court presents its sincere condolences to his family and colleagues in this time of sorrow.
