On Saturday, 17 November 2012, a multimedia exhibit will open in the lobby of the World Forum in The Hague to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The exhibit will be shown at the World Forum until 23 November, and then be on display at the Municipality of The Hague from 27 November to 4 December. The exhibit was made possible by the city of The Hague and the Government of Switzerland and is open to the public.

The exhibit uses photographs and video clips to explore how justice matters to the individuals and communities affected by crimes under the Court’s jurisdiction, and how justice matters to the world. It also explores various matters of justice, including daily work both done by ICC staff in The Hague and in the field to ensure that justice happens.

The ICC is the first permanent, treaty-based, international criminal court established to help end impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community, namely war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
