The ICC Prosecutor’s press conference on Kenya will be held today, 12 June, at 16:30

ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo will hold a press conference today, 12 June 2012, at 16:30 (The Hague local time), following the status conferences with regard to the situation in Kenya.

The press conference will also available for viewing on the ICC YouTube Channel, and for download in MPEG-3 (audio) and MPEG-4 (video) formats following the event.

Attending the Press Conference

Journalists attending the press conference are kindly asked to:

  • arrive no later than 16:00;
  • use the public entrance located at Regulusweg; and
  • present a valid press identification card.

Media Centre

The Court’s Media Centre will open at 10:30 and will close 60 minutes after the press conference has finished.

The area can seat up to 64 people and includes plasma TV screens; a Wi-Fi Internet service; cards (plug + play) for those without Wi-Fi capability in their PC or laptop; 6 computers with Internet access; and 7 telephones that may be used free of charge for internal calls. For external calls, journalists are advised to use their mobiles or purchase 0800 pre-paid phone cards beforehand. Such cards are available at newsagents and train stations.

Please note that phone cards cannot be obtained in the vicinity of, or at, the ICC.

Recording facilities

Please note that, in the Press Briefing room, audio breakout boxes will be available for the language being used (“Floor”), as well as English and French. XLR connections are used for the audio, and the distance from the breakout box to the camera location is approximately 15 meters. The ICC does not have spare cables available for the crews.

Feed for the SNG trucks

SNG trucks can record the signal from the Press Briefing Room from the distribution box placed in the media parking facilities (see below). Please note that there is no power supply available at the car park and that it is therefore necessary to have a generator.

Parking facilities

Media representatives can use the parking facilities located at the intersection of Regulusweg and Wegastraat. The parking code for this event is 8726.
