Panama ratifies the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the International Criminal Court (APIC)

On 16 August 2004, Panama ratified the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the International Criminal Court (APIC). 

This brings the number of States to have ratified the Agreement to 12. In total, 62 States have signed the Agreement.              

The Agreement entered into force on July 22 2004, in accordance with Article 35, which states that it “shall enter into force thirty days after the date of deposit with the Secretary-General of the tenth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession”. Canada was the tenth State to ratify the Agreement on 22 June this year.
