France joins the ICC Junior Professional Officers Programme

On 17 December 2020, Mr Peter Lewis, Registrar of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and H.E. Mr Luis Vassy, Ambassador of France to The Netherlands, signed an agreement on the participation of France in the ICC Junior Professional Officers (JPO) Programme.

The JPO Programme encourages junior professionals, with an academic degree and limited professional experience, to acquire hands-on work experience under the close direction/supervision of Court officials and senior staff. The JPOs are sponsored by their respective governments and recruited under a bilateral agreement between the donor country and the Court.
