Opening of the trial in the Ntaganda case: ICC to hold Press Conference on 1 September 2015

A Press Conference on the commencement of the trial in the case
The Prosecutor v. Bosco Ntaganda will be held on Tuesday 1 September 2015 at 11:00 (The Hague time) in the Press Briefing room of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands. The conference will also be web-streamed live on the Court's website, with the possibility for ICC Twitter followers to ask their questions at the conference. 

Statements will be delivered by the ICC Registrar, Herman von Hebel, the ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, the Defence Counsel for Bosco Ntaganda, Stéphane Bourgon, and the Legal Representatives of the two groups of victims in the case, Sarah Pellet and Dmytro Suprun, with an opportunity for questions and answers.

The trial in the case of The Prosecutor v. Bosco Ntaganda is scheduled to open on 2 September 2015. Bosco Ntaganda, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Force Patriotiques pour la Libération du Congo [Patriotic Force for the Liberation of Congo] (FPLC), is accused of 13 counts of war crimes and five crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Ituri, DRC, in 2002-2003.

Note that the Court will endeavor to answer as many questions as possible during or after the briefing, but cannot guarantee you a reply.
