Press conference: International Criminal Court reveals design for its permanent premises

The International Criminal Court (ICC) will hold a press conference on 8 March, 2010, starting at 12:15 (The Hague local time), to present the design of the new permanent premises of the ICC in The Hague.
At the press conference, the design of Danish architects schmidt hammer lassen will be revealed, as well as the functionalities of the buildings and the integration of the construction into the landscape of the city.
Last year three winning architects were chosen by an international jury from a total of 171 applications. The design of schmidt hammer lassen met all the ICC criteria, such as design, sustainability, functionality and costs.

Registration to attend the press conference
Journalists wishing to attend the press conference are kindly invited to register their attendance by email to: [email protected] no later than 5 March.

Access to the ICC building
You are kindly advised to use the public entrance located on Regulusweg. All media are welcome to arrive from 11:00 onwards, but no later than 12:00.
Journalists will have access to the Media Centre.
Media Centre
The area can sit up to 64 people and includes plasma TV screens; a Wi-Fi internet service; cards (plug + play) for those without Wi-Fi capability in their PC or laptop; 6 computers with internet access; 7 telephones that may be used free of charge for internal calls. For external calls, journalists are advised to use their mobiles or purchase 0800 pre paid phone cards beforehand. Such cards are available at newsagents and train stations. Please note that phone cards cannot be obtained in the vicinity of, or at, the ICC. Mobile phones cannot be used in the public gallery.
Parking facilities
Parking facilities are available for media representatives at the Regulusweg and Wegastraat car park.

Persconferentie: Internationaal Strafhof onthult ontwerp voor permanente huisvesting

Op 8 maart 2010 houdt het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) om 12:15 uur een persconferentie om het ontwerp van de nieuwe permanente huisvesting van het ICC in Den Haag te presenteren.
Tijdens de persconferentie wordt het ontwerp van schmidt hammer lassen architects uit Denemarken onthuld. Daarnaast worden de functionaliteiten van de gebouwen en de integratie van het geheel in het landschap van de stad nader toegelicht.
Vorig jaar koos een internationale jury drie winnende architecten uit in totaal 171 deelnemers. Het ontwerp van schmidt hammer lassen voldeed aan alle criteria van het ICC, o.a. wat betreft ontwerp, duurzaamheid, functionaliteit en kosten.

Toegang tot het ICC-gebouw
Wij verzoeken u vriendelijk gebruik te maken van de openbare ingang aan de Regulusweg. Alle media zijn vanaf 11:00 welkom, maar dienen uiterlijk om 12:00 uur aanwezig te zijn.
Journalisten hebben toegang tot het Media Centre.

Deze ruimte biedt plaats aan maximaal 64 mensen en beschikt over plasma TV-schermen; eenWi-Fi internet service; kaarten (plug + play) voor diegenen die geen Wi-Fi mogelijkheid hebben in hun PC of laptop; 6 computers met internettoegang; 7 telefoons die gratis kunnen worden gebruikt voor interne gesprekken. Voor externe gesprekken adviseren wij journalisten gebruik te maken van hun mobiele telefoons. Echter, mobiele telefoons kunnen niet in de openbare zaal worden gebruikt.
Parkeervoorzieningen
Parkeervoorzieningen zijn beschikbaar voor vertegenwoordigers van de media op de parkeerterreinen aan de Regulusweg en Wegastraat.
