ICC First Vice-President Judge Joyce Aluoch awarded the Minerva Prize

On 26 November 2015, First Vice-President of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Judge Joyce Aluoch was awarded the Minerva Prize during a ceremony at the Protomoteca Hall in Campidoglio, in Rome, Italy. Judge Aluoch received the Human and Civil Rights Minerva Prize for her extensive experience in training judges and magistrates in the provision of regional and international human rights instruments.

The Minerva Prize is a prestigious Italian award, dedicated predominantly to women, to recognize outstanding contributions in fields of knowledge. Now in its 26th Edition, and known since 2009 as the Anna Maria Mammoliti Minerva Prize in memory of its founder, the prize is given annually to professionals across a range of fields, including entrepreneurship, management, scientific research, arts, literature and social commitment, for the knowledge and values they contribute in their area of specialization and to society as a whole.
