Finland joins the ICC Junior Professional Officers Programme

On 18 December 2020, Mr Peter Lewis, Registrar of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and Mrs. Satu Santala, Director General at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, signed an agreement on the participation of Finland in the ICC Junior Professional Officers (JPO) Programme.

The JPO Programme encourages junior professionals, with an academic degree and limited professional experience, to acquire hands-on work experience under the close direction/supervision of Court officials and senior staff. The JPOs are sponsored by their respective governments and recruited under a bilateral agreement between the donor country and the Court.
