Judge Ronald Young

Since 2001, Justice Ronald Young has served as a Judge of the High Court of New Zealand. He holds an LLB from Otago University (New Zealand) and has worked at several law firms in New Zealand, where he worked in criminal defence as well as prosecution cases. He was appointed a District Court Judge in 1988 and a Chief District Court Judge in 1993. In 2001, Judge Young was appointed President of the Electoral Commission. He is a Judge at the Court of Appeal and became a High Court Judge in June 2001.
