Organisation
In accordance with regulation 81 of the Regulations of the Court, the Office functions as an independent office and falls within the remit of the Registry for administrative purposes only.
Members of the Office are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct for Counsel (ICC-ASP/4/Res.1. adopted during the fourth session of the Assembly of States Parties. The Office will be composed of counsel, legal officers and administrative assistants and is currently recruiting. For more details click here.
The independence of the Office is a prerequisite for carrying out its mandate to assist and represent legal representatives of victims and victims. This independence will allow the Office to function without being subjected to pressure of any kind and will preserve the privileged relationship between victims and their legal representative.
