President of the Assembly visits Brussels

During her 1 to 3 February 2012 visit to Brussels, the President of the Assembly of States Parties (“the Assembly”), Ambassador Tiina Intelmann met with members of the European Parliament, including Mr. Wolfgang Kreissl-Dörfler, Ms. Barbara Lochbihler and other members of the Group of Friends of the ICC from different parliamentary groups.  

President of the Assembly visit to The Hague

The President of the Assembly of States Parties (“the Assembly”), Ambassador Tiina Intelmann, visited The Hague from 29 January to 1 February 2012. During this first visit to The Hague as the President of the Assembly, Ms. Intelmann held meetings with senior officials of the Court and members of the diplomatic community in order to have an informal exchange of views on, inter alia, the cooperation of States Parties with the Court, how to expedite the proceedings, including via possible amendments to the Rules of Procedure and Evidence, the budget forecast for 2013, and developing a strategic approach to the preparation of the annual budget.

 

ICC judges in case against Katanga and Ngudjolo Chui visit Ituri

From 16 to 20 January 2012, the judges of Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court (ICC) visited Ituri, in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
