Signature status:

Cyprus signed on 15 October 1998.

Ratification and Implementation Status:

Cyprus ratified on 7 March 2002, becoming the 55th State Party.On 28 February 2002, the Parliament passed the bill of ratification, which was then signed by the President before deposit at the UN. Previously, the translation of the ICC Statute was completed and the draft ratification legislation was approved by the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives.There were no major obstacles for ratification, and no need to amend the Constitution.
